Food Packaging and Shelf Life

Food Packaging and Shelf Life is a new online journal that caters to the needs of scientists, materials scientists, food chemists and microbiologists in the area of food packaging and shelf life. Selected, refereed papers from the 2014 Advances in Food Processing Congress will be published in a special issue of the journal. Oral and poster presenters at the conference in the areas of food packaging and shelf life covered in the aims and scope of the journal are invited to submit full manuscripts for consideration for inclusion in the special issue. All manuscripts will be subject to the normal process of peer review. Please note that acceptance of an abstract in the symposium program does not imply acceptance of an accompanying paper for publication in the FPSL special issue. Manuscripts should preferably be submitted by the date of the Conference, but at the latest by 12 December 2014.

Your manuscript must be prepared according to the journal's Guide for Authors, which can be found on the journal web page at www.elsevier.com/locate/fpsl. Detailed information on the journal, including its Aims and Scope, is also available on the web page. Manuscripts for the special issue must be submitted online, using Elsevier's electronic submission system (EES), at http://ees.elsevier.com/fpsl, starting from 1 October 2014. Please do not attempt to submit your paper prior to this date. When submitting your paper, select article type “Food Processing 2014” when prompted in EES.

Brazilian Journal of Food Technology - BJFT is edited by the Institute of Food Technology – ITAL. It is an electronic three-monthly publication with free access, aimed at publishing the results of original research that contribute significantly to knowledge in the areas of food science, technology and engineering, encompassing all of the topics being covered by the conference.

Manuscripts with national and/or international scope presenting new concepts or experimental approaches, and which are not merely repositories of scientific data, are accepted. The journal publishes original articles, scientific notes and review articles in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Oral and poster presenters at the conference are invited to submit manuscripts to BJFT's regular issues. Please see the journal website for further information on how to submit www.scielo.br/revistas/bjft/iinstruc.htm
